Beautiful Truth

I know there are a lot of people out there who don't understand what we have to go through on a daily basis, and I know it's hard sometimes to love them anyway but we should try...

Who are we, that we should recieve such great gifts; gifts of love, peace and forgiveness from Jesus?
Are we not the same people who, at first, spat in the face of the very prospect of an unconditional, unceasing, beautiful, and perfect love?
No! I tell you, we are not the same person. Once we have accepted His truth and His love, His promises and His forgivness, we are baptized anew. We are washed in the blood of Christ and cleaned with His perfectness.
And once we've accepted this beautiful truth we can go out and express it to others! The blinders to love one another unconditionally, through the love of Christ, have been removed!
We are called, commanded, to love one another, such as He loved us. But do we? Do we really?
I gather, most of us do not. We, all of us-at some point or another, have claimed to have love for eachother, but do we convey it the way in which He has instructed us? No.
We sit by and watch, while the people around us are lost and suffering. We judge and we act in hatred against them!
How can we, as Christians, sit by and let this happen?
We are imperfect people. And, being imperfect, we are lost in sin. Therefore, we do not know how- cannot know how- to convey love to others on our own. We need Him. We need Him to help us in our long journey to help others through Him. Romans 3:23 so aptly states: "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
And, since we all -so obviously- sin how can we establish a sense of love amongst those who so desperately are seeking it? We can't. At least, we can't on our own. We need Him. Only He can save us from our downward spiral into and through sin. And only He can help us convey love to eachother, love He commanded us to have for our "neighbor". And, being in human nature and sin, we do not always want to understand, much less, love our neighbor, but through Him and His help, we can. We can be imperfect people loving other imperfect people, through Christ.

Please, for your own sake and for the sake of others, try to keep that in mind.

Love,
Vulcangirl
